10-year-old Meghan Ward was driven to get the anti-smoking message out because of her Grandmother’s smoking related death. She would save her pocket money to have prototypes made in China for her final product, a key chain where tar is pushed side-to-side inside lungs. Anti-smoking execs caught wind of the idea and inked a deal for 25, 000 of Meghan’s keyrings. They call it clever and ingenious and it really is!

Let us tell you a story about a secret, the secret of making Butter Chicken, Poulet au Beurre in all its deliciousness. For your information, Butter Chicken is just a name. It doesn’t mean adding on butter like there’s no tomorrow. In fact, only 2 tablespoons are needed ;)
Preparation Time: 1/2 hour
Cooking Time: 30-40 minutes
What you’ll need:
Chicken 800 grams
Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Butter ..2 tablespoons
Yogurt 1 cup
Garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon but can be substituted with Garlic Cloves
Ginger paste 2 tablespoons. Can be substituted with actual Ginger
Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon
Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
Mustard oil 2 tablespoons (We used some Garlic Mustard creation he hee)
Dry fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi) 1/2 teaspoon
Tomato puree 400 grams
Cream 1 cup (we didn’t have it so we used evaporated milk)
Green cardamoms, cloves, peppercorns and cinnamon (minimal amounts. Cloves 2 or 3!!)
Make incisions with a sharp knife on breast and leg pieces of the chicken. Apply a mixture of red chilli powder, lemon juice and salt to the chicken for and set aside for half an hour (or at least a long as it takes you to prepare the curry (russ).
In a separate bowl, add yogurt, red chilli powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala powder and “mustard oil”. Now add this onto the marinated chicken pieces and refrigerate for 3 or 4 hours ideally (or if you’re in a rush, start cooking the chicken on something that looks like the pan above or in a pre-heated oven at 200 degrees for 10 or 12 minutes) Add the butter and allow it to melt.
Add the green cardamoms, cloves, peppercorns and cinnamon.
Add the tomato puree (or cut up tomatoes if you don’t have the puree), red chili powder again, garam masala powder, salt and the cream (or evaporated milk).
If you think your mixture is too thick, add water. If it is too watery, let curry simmer on low.
On a final note, make sure your chicken is cooked and add a little paprika for colour.

Wow wow WOW! Luxirare has created edible crayons or health bars. They are mostly made of very healthy ingredients except marshmallow, which is used to make it stick together. Did we say too much?
The ingredients for each colour of crayon are chosen according to colour not taste. Though freeze dried corn peanuts, bee pollen and dried bananas are listed for the yellow crayon. All crayons are ”a mixture of nuts, seeds, dried veggies, fruits, and anything that is healthy”, which the author stresses deeply.
Green sounds edible with ”peas, green beans, dried kiwi, green fruity pebbles, dried pumpkin seeds” but we are sceptical about these pebbles? Are they sugar pebbles?
It doesn’t matter but for those who ever had a craving for crayons, here’s your big chance to satisfy it!

Electric cigarettes have just hit the market and are said to imitate cigarettes in appearance but with decreased health risks. The difference lies in the fact that they contain no ash, tar, or carbon monoxide that smokers are heavily exposed to with tobacco cigarettes but use Greensmoke where nicotine is vapourized into steam by an atomizer allowing the user to inhale a vapour that looks and feels just like smoke, also leaving no smell.
Green Smoke works by way of a 2 part technology that contains a lithium-ion battery, a microchip controller and a red LED light that ”lights up” when the e-cigarette is smoked. Its filter is unscrewable and also said to have an authentic feel.
Authenticity seems to be their selling point and noting the benefits, we think its innovative and fresh and most importantly green!
”The benefits of this new technology enable smokers to still receive the nicotine in a manner that the smoker is accustomed to, but with descending levels of nicotine, from 16mg all the way down to 0mg”, attests a representative, ”We even offer a variety of flavors including Tobacco, Tobacco Marl, Menthol, Chocolate, Vanilla, Coffee, Apple and Strawberry. The genius of this new product lies in the fact that smokers can address the hand and oral part of the addiction while lowering their nicotine level, if they so choose.”
Different flavours, good for loved ones and the environment, oral fixation.
We don’t think they missed anything! Hope it isn’t a gimmick

According to Lepoint.fr, it will. We think it’s a great idea to take into consideration. We already know that black is the safe choice that everyone inevitably chooses for elegance and poise but can you wear a little black dress during the day with the same effect? This does sound a little similar to Chanel’s new year resolution for lip wear.
However, grey does carry a sense of refined, sophisticated prestige and chic that black at times, cannot provide during the daylight hours. The grey trend has reached to influencing accessories, bags, smooth leather goods and velvet pumps. Not only this but it is also quickly becoming the new basic colour for fashion collections where the fashion designers imagine silouettes ”lined in wool, cashmere and satins”.
We like that imagery
It even says that for the house, grey is a lovely choice for sofa coverings, drapes or rugs. With that list, you’re sure not to run out of ideas.

Ms. Katey was given a new makeover from Ted Gibson. The hair affair was filmed by TLC as part of Kate The Clean Slate where Kate takes the first steps in moving on after Jon Douche. Luckily, she didn’t have to pay a cent. Ted Gibson says that usually his haircuts are $950. For Kate “the color would have been about $500, and the extensions, which were great length extensions, would probably cost about $5000”.
7000 dollars for a hair cut and she didn’t seem so happy! Lucky Ingrate! Except it took about 20 hours to do, maybe she was tired?
Personally, we would have recommended that she shouldn’t have had so many layers put in and the dye job should have all been the same colour or highlighted better in that all colours match. There is also too much volume on top to sustain the hairstyle.
The good thing is that if this ever happens to you, it should grow out into a nice cut in a few months depending upon how fast your hair grows.
Hopefully the hair doesn’t deter Kate from having a clean slate but a make-over can sometimes be a great way of seeing the world differently especially if it does make you feel better about yourself!

Bobbi Brown went from make-up artist to cosmetic giant and wants you to feel like the woman you are. Pretty and Powerful!
“This past year with the economy becoming more challenging, I saw it as an opportunity to press the reset button and figure out what really makes sense to me. And I realized that all these women I know are so beautiful because of their confidence in what they know, and I want to celebrate that,” which is why she has launched the Pretty Powerful Campaign where she will show a range of looks in before and after pictures of friends who inspired her. ”Real women”
And the campaign starts next week where a multitude of photos with different looks will be shown from indie to retro to who knows!
But make-up as part of feeling powerful? How will fans participate? Well, on the 19th, ”fans can submit videos beautifying with their favorite Bobbi Brown products, and then 30 finalists will be sent a Must-Haves Makeup Kit and the Color Strips Collection – a springy mosaic of pinks, purples and earth tones that will launch in March – to create a video on how the collection makes them feel Pretty Powerful.”
If you don’t know James Bond make-upping, you can be a part of lady power by looking at the entries and voting on the final five finalists. For every vote, Brown has agreed to donate $1 to Dress for Success – a charity that provides underprivileged women with interview suits and guidance on starting a new career.
Powerful make-up is ”makeup that makes a woman feel confident, powerful and beautiful. Power is not shoulder pads, success or fame – it’s someone who feels comfortable in their skin.”
It’s good to feel good about yourself.

Elle Woods Reese Witherspoon recently discussed clothes swapping soirées she holds with her female friends.
“There are three of us who wear pretty much the same size, so we’ll get together on a Friday night and I’ll bring clothes I want to trade and they’ll bring theirs. We swap shoes and handbags a lot. I wore my girlfriend’s dress to a wedding recently. It’s fun.”
We’ve done this before actually but unfortunately, they were not soirées so this is actually a great idea!
There’s no need to go to the mall and you never have to get bored with your wardrobe because you’ll always have something fun and different to wear and if you don’t, trade with a friend!
